Finally arrived in Whittier to the expected weather.
Boarding was fine, made the way to our cabin – having never been on a ship before I was a little surprised at the size, but have adapted.
First night on board decided to forego the dinner to wander around the ship. Lots of old people in leisure suits and reasonably priced shops.
Went to the gym afterwards. Felt so much better.
Went to bed for the first time with the motion of the ship.
Slept like a log.
Up early for room service breakfast and an early morning behind the scenes tour.
* Theatre – sort of cool, very different to Tea Tree Players theatre
* Galley – bakery and pastry room were very cool
* Laundry – interesting
* Engine room
* Bridge – very cool
Lunch in the ‘English pub’ restaurant.
Massage this afternoon followed by formal night – cocktails and dinner.
