Friday night – home after a very long week at work. Just want to lay on the couch, but washing needs to be done. Over the course of several hours I bring in last week’s washing (slack aren’t I?), run two loads of washing through the machine and hang them out.
Saturday morning it was up early to head to the other side of Melbourne for a movie night with Mr P and Mrs S (and little Mr R). Amazing home theatre setup!
Before we left I tried out one of the many granola recipes I found.
Unfortunately I think I overcooked it slightly. Next time less cooking and rolled oats, not quick ones.
Tried it for the first time this morning. Not sure if it is the recipe or that I are not so used to sweet things at the moment, but it was VERY sweet.
Next time maybe less maple syrup or less dried fruit. Definitely edible, and tasty, just needs a few tweaks.
I took a brief hiatus from the anti-sugar crusade to enjoy some lovely gluten and additive free chocolate cake and a late night ice cream rush.We took full advantage of the home theatre for as long as we could – movies and Harry Potter Lego on the big screen – then headed to bed.Early Sunday morning full of banana pancakes, hash browns, eggs and bacon.
